DoHSS Ethnic Utsav 2025

30th October was indeed a dreamy day for the department! How often do you get to see the HS kids clothed in their trendy, chic ethnic attires? On Department Ethnic Day, you do!

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences had a blasting ethnic day this time. A day filled with joy, laughter, and a hell lot of fun. From people finding a real deal in walking in veshtis to those constantly realigning the saree drapes, the day was chaotic, but the chaos held with it a beauty unmatched. The CLT lawn was filled with the ethnic butterflies, all trying to get their turn in clicking picture with friends, batchmates, seniors and even professors. Others were busy doing presentations, attending classes, giving vivas and some even writing their term papers, but none of this could dampen the spirit of ethnic day, even to the smallest extent.

Awaiting them further was an enchanting evening, a cultural night – were the HS people unleashed their inner performers. Dance, songs, games and what not! The evening was filled with a spirit of warmth that cuddled everyone. I can’t stop praising and appreciating the performers, but the audience – Oh dear people, I cannot put into words the energy that you showcased. It somehow felt that their energy drove the show!

The games and the people behind them deserve a word of appreciation for executing everything so well, entertaining both the players and the audience alike. If you ask me what stood out during the cultural night, with all due respect and admiration for all performers, I would pick the HS21 and HS24 Economics batches. They owned the stage and, perhaps, the show as well! Much like the ‘cherries on top,’ for our event, it was ‘pizzas on top!’ The program ended with a post-dinner DJ session.

The organisers of the event should take a bow for putting it all together with such beauty, even amidst the pressures of the final academic week. It was a jovial day that filled everyone around with so much happiness and love.

“Wrapped in grace, everyone embraced”.
