Team 2025-26

5–8 minutes

Alphin Tom

Head Editor, IMA, V Year

Alphin likes to take things calmly, even when they pile up. He has a quiet disregard for well-trodden paths, often choosing what feels creative and bold. Design work keeps chasing him down, so a Canva tab is almost always open. Some 2010s Malayalam film song is always playing in the background, and he finds joy in singing along.

Y Laxmi Samhita

Executive Editor, IMA, V Year

Samhita is a final year student who loves to read. When she’s not reading books, she likes to read about books or watch people talk about them. She also loves singing, geography trivia, and sudokus. An unashamed NYT Games and LinkedIn Games addict, she can (and will) drop everything to tackle a crossword or any puzzle that crosses her path, especially when she’s “definitely” supposed to be working.

Neenu Elza Zachariah

Executive Editor, MA, II Year

Neenu pondered for a week to create her bio, stuck for words and content. But she knows that filter coffee and hide& seek biscuits can flip her mood. She is mostly a night owl who can sleep through the day and be friendly with the stars. She will definitely vote for historic fictions.

Lakshmi Yazhini

Content Editor, IMA, V Year

Yazhini is a walking dichotomy (probably unseen of since Jekyll and Hyde). On some days, she loves to be organized, prompt and studious. You can find her at your nearest available AC space (currently MML or RSL), razor focused on a journal article, looking up research gaps for her term paper. Or making last minute changes to her notes and articles. On other days (this is the Hyde phase btw), you would probably find her procrastinating on her phone, curled up in her room with a good book or binge watching Netflix. Depending on when you encounter her, she would either totally be up for academically stimulating conversation and small talk, or would greet you with a wholesome smile or a wave (unless you start talking to her about books or movies ofc )

Eshani Bhattacharjee

Content Editor, MA, I Year

Eshani spends her day looking up books to read and not reading them. Her ardent love for fiction and coffee keeps her going when reality gets tiresome, and pushes her to touch everyone’s lives with the joy of words. She writes in three languages, is funny in two and eloquent in one.

Vasuki R

Design Editor, MA, II Year

Living in the 21st century but revelling to vintage songs from across the world, Vasuki navigates her life with books, anime and learning new languages. She might look like a moody introvert, but a ‘Hi’ and some small talk is enough to show you that it is not the case.

Abdul Razik

Media and Outreach Strategist, MA, II Year

Razik believes in the power of a camera to make, tell, and cherish stories. Certainly, he believes in hardwork and for him its result should not be the intended one rather a much satisfactory feeling. Being a pseudo-perfectionist, he would hardly finish what he starts for they do not look appealing to him. Yet have a great faith in himself and the universe.

Alfid K Khader

Correspondent, IMA, IV Year

Alfid is a fourth-year student who is not good at writing bios. He also used to cringe when main characters in movies use third-person POV to talk about themselves.

Roshni Ramanan

Correspondent, PhD Scholar

With the heart of a poet and the soul of a phoenix, Rosh believes in God, manifestation and the soft magic of good people. Endlessly curious about all things art and human, you can call on her for some witty repartee or a warm hug. She’s that friend who laughs too loud, gives too much and makes everyone feel like the main character- even when her own story needs saving.

Priyam Moonka

Correspondent, PhD Scholar

Priyam’s purpose is an ever-present unwavering Joie de vivre. Her heart does a peacock dance every time it rains. Her soul revels in old Hindustani Film Songs, Ghazals and Folk Music from the subcontinent. She also loves podcasts. Always asking questions, dreaming, speaking and writing about times bygone, she is nostalgizing her way through (PhD) life. She tries balancing between her love for hustle and the calmness of slow living. At the end of the day, you’ll find her curled up in her cozy little fairy-lights lit room reading or crocheting.

Anshira

Correspondent, MA, II Year

Anshira is an introvert who would rather write a thousand words than speak ten. A certified rain-lover and self-declared queen of organizing, she finds comfort in tidy chaos and slow-paced Iranian or Turkish films, with a side of Hollywood and K-dramas. Though secretly terrified of monkeys (and sometimes humans), her words manage to be braver than she is.

Amina

Correspondent, MA, I Year

A retired avid reader, Amina is still lost in the worlds of Khalid Hosseini. If you ever catch her offcampus, chances are she’s on a mission to find the best bun porotta in Chennai. Tea, Egg Puffs and Jassie Gift songs – basically her ultimate love triangle. Wanna meet her awkwardest self? Come watch her play (desperately trying to) badminton at Sitaara. And her biggest talent? – napping anywhere, anytime.

Sivani

Correspondent, MA, I Year

With one foot in daydreams and the other in the chaos of everyday life, Sivani chases good food and Wi-Fi signals strong enough to keep her sane. A true story seeker she loves tales that thrill, mystify or transports her through time whether on paper or on the screen. Music that sends goosebumps down the spine are her favorite companions because what is life without some beautiful backtracks.

Veena

Correspondent, MA, I Year

Veena is a ‘Bavra Mann’ girl, literally and musically. She is extremely proud of the 28 teeth she has ( the dentist took away her 4 premolars !!) and flaunts it every now and then. So whenever you meet her, be prepared for the Colgate ad. Giant Panda is indeed her spirit animal. She could be a ten at times but could easily droop to negative, the very next minute. She is a beach baby and for her, there is nothing upon this Earth that the sea, the sand and the salt cannot heal.

Garima Satpuri

Designer, MA, II Year

Garima is a certified chai-powered human, part-time chaos coordinator, and full-time specialist in last-minute studying. She survives on animation movies, art, and clicking pictures that make you go ‘wait… am I actually there again?’ As MITR’s coordinator, she preach mental health > academics (mostly because she only touches her books when exams start sending hate mails). At night you’ll find her cycling with music on full blast; during the day, hanging with friends; and in between, trying (and failing) to look like she has life figured out.

Surabhi Chhikara

Designer, MA, I Year

Surabhi is a quiet gremlin who begins to drops her lame jokes as the acquaintance progresses. She loves all things literary and cinematic with a keen eye for angles and aesthetics. Poetry is what keeps her alive and kicking on the most whirlwind of days.

Vineet Wadia

Media and Outreach Coordinator, MA, I Year

Vineet is an ambivert who can be both the life of the party and the quiet observer in the corner. He loves movies and enjoys editing videos until they look like mini blockbusters. He lifts weights at the gym so he can carry all his travel bags, and explore new places, mostly to hunt for food that even Zomato hasn’t discovered.
