Alternate Musings (Srishtika Prakash)

“You! What are you!”
“Heavens! What have I created!”
Shouted He
In the laboratory of His paradise

O Frankenstein! O Frankenstein!
Now I know how thee felt.
But I am He who made them
And I take wisdom from thy legend.

I am thy Father, dear creature.
Rise and stand, my child
Let me gaze at my creation,
I name thee Adam.

“O Frankenstein, in Heaven;
Holy is thy name”
With your blessings, O Father
My genesis I shall raise

He loved Adam, and
with him He played
And thought of creating
an Eden for his game

~Herein chanced luck and destiny,
Challenging choice and tenacity~

Busy in His laboratory of Paradise.
Making Eden for Adam
He forgot giving him time
lonesome feelings gathered

Lucifer watched them
from his bound place
Unknown to the world
with a disposition indeterminate

With measure he spoke, choosing
words as lonely, friendless
assuring great care in incepting
isolation in Adam’s head

Father He was, and so
cared for His little one
And soon He clearly saw
Adam’s sorrowful emotion

Once again he thus returned,
to the laboratory of His paradise
And with a different determination
He repeated the exercise.

With hair as long, and
lashes as thick, He
brought into existence
Eve, for Adam’s companionship

“Alas! Here’s His downfall”, thought Lucifer
Thus breeding the Devil in his own person.
