Travelling far from home is always an adventure; for Robin Marie, India was not only 6400 miles from her home in Germany, but also a vastly different cultural and educational atmosphere. She outlines her journey through Chennai and the IIT campus with humour, not a little exasperation, and a pervasive sense of wonder in “India Diary”. In Northern Kerala, temple traditions challenge familiar ideas of purity, devotion, and culinary orthodoxy.
