6–9 minutes

Vineet Wadia

Head Editor, MA, II Year

Vineet is not an expert, just someone curious about how things work, especially when it comes to people and stories. He’s into making documentaries and exploring real perspectives.

Vivek Kumar Tripathi

Executive Editor, MA, II Year

Vivek is a coffee connoisseur who spends most of his time browsing through the catalogues of contemporary non-fiction, old classics, journals and magazines. From DNA replication to geopolitics, psychoanalysis and latest discoveries in AI & neuroscience, he is always up for a discussion on any topic under the sun, over a cup of coffee. Usually, you can find him lounging in the library , feverishly reading and researching on something to write about. He also has a peer-reviewed and self-proclaimed PhD in running away, literally and metaphorically: both on ground and from the people around, like Forest Gump!

Eshani Bhattacharjee

Executive Editor, MA, II Year

Eshani writes in three languages, is funny in two and eloquent in one. She is enamoured by the magic of words and how they touch lives without leaving the page. Her fixations include women’s writings, coffee, books, cats and fashion.

Ann Mary

Content Editor, MA, I Year

Amy is the kind of person who can turn a perfectly innocent question into a three-hour conversation about politics, power, society, and why things are the way they are. She is endlessly curious, occasionally opinionated, and always willing to change her mind when the argument is good enough. When she’s not interrogating the world, she is probably writing about it.

Esha Ann Mariya

Content Editor, MA, I Year

Esha spends an unreasonable amount of time reading, writing, watching films, and wondering if everything can somehow be turned into a research topic. Outside of that, she has an overflowing, colourful wardrobe, sings whenever she gets the chance, sketches, and is probably one of the most relentlessly bubbly and cheerful people you’ll ever meet. Basically, she follows multitudes to the sky.

Mahathi Ramnarayan

Content Editor, MA, I Year

Ever the elusive bookworm, Mahathi takes great pride in her ability to find corners to hide in all over campus, whether to read in peace or to simply ponder the ineffectuality of existence in a less overstimulating environment. She loves the idea of cats but is terrified of them, loves trees and is not terrified of them, and is in constant need of caffeine to maintain the appearance of a functioning human being.

Surabhi Chhikara

Design Editor, MA, II Year

Surabhi is a halfway poet, halfway designer who loves to arrange patterns and words into art. Creativity for her comes in small, random bursts of enthusiasm, just like her social battery.

Vementhaanee S A

Design Editor, MA, I Year

Vimi basically lived under a rock for most of her life and missed out on all human pop culture, but she’s aggressively making up for it now. Her life goal is to look out for the design of pretty much anything that is fun or covered in flowers. Vimi’s social battery is binary: she’s either on endless walks with loved ones or completely off the grid staring at a plant. She might probably be trapped under a cat somewhere on campus and unable to move right now. If found, please offer her some pasta or ginger tea.

Asmi Gayan

Media and Outreach Coordinator, MA, I Year

Asmi is an inquisitive and enthusiastic individual. She loves interacting with people and is curious about their culture, language and identities. A wanderlust in the making, always looking for adventures and underrated places to visit. Hit her up if you are fond of music, cinema and travelling.

S Nikita Nair

Media and Outreach Strategist, MA, I Year

Nikita is a coffee connoisseur with an unhealthy obsession with cats. She calls her doomscrolling an analysis of social media trends and thinks she is Batman (obviously, you haven’t seen her and Batman in the same room for a reason)

Sania K J

Correspondent, MA, I Year

Sania likes people more when they’re smiling. She loves clicking pictures that are convincingly aesthetic, and watching movies (of course, Mollywood – the bestest!!). She loves doodling when she should probably be doing something else, and spends far too long debating her own decisions. She also strongly agrees with Aristotle that humans are political and social animals, which is probably why she judges you based on your politics:)

Sri Meghana Gudipalli

Correspondent, MA, II Year

Meghana is from Hyderabad and is a Carnatic musician who loves singing. An avid reader of fiction and Indian literature, she also enjoys painting and has a particular passion for Sanskrit. She’s always happy to discuss music, books, or anything that catches her interest!

Thejas S Krishna

Correspondent, MA, I Year

Thejas is from Kerala. Sometimes you’ll find him talking to everyone, and sometimes sitting under a random tree please don’t disturb, he’s probably socially exhausted. He spends his free time swiping left and right on dating apps with absolutely no idea what he’s looking for, eventually ending up on a solo date. He smiles a lot and firmly believes his smile is cute. His philosophy: if nothing goes right, go left.

Priya Lamichhane

Correspondent, MA, I Year

Priya is a keen learner with a deep appreciation for words and their forms of articulation. She loves interacting new people and learning about different cultures and perspectives. Born and brought up in the Himalayas, she enjoys nature and prefers being surrounded by a realistic mindset. Lately, she has discovered the art of letting go and adapted to the beautiful strategy of slowing down, being creative and living in the moment.

Promona

Correspondent, MA, I Year

[insert something shakespearean about your death and inevitable doom here]

Arshia Jain

Correspondent, MA, I Year

Arshia is currently pursuing her Master’s in English Literature at IIT Madras and works as a correspondent for Article 19. She has a deep interest in poetry and can often be found writing poems and sonnets, especially metaphysical ones. Apart from writing, she loves singing and capturing little moments in nature, whether it’s a deer grazing, a cat wandering by, or anything that catches her eye. She wholeheartedly believes in carpe diem (seizing the day and making the most of every moment).

Malavika

Photography Editor, I Year

Malavika is from Kerala and is trying to figure out life before life figures her out. Aesthetic obsessed but mostly looking homeless in real life. She acts extroverted but is too shy to post on her private Instagram account, so her endless story highlights keep her stalkers fed. Chronically overthinking, occasionally locked-in, mostly YOLO-ing. Favourite season? The Fall of Patriarchy.

Vasuki R

Designer, PHD, I Year

Living in the 21st century but revelling to vintage songs from across the world, Vasuki navigates her life with books, anime and learning new languages. She might look like a moody introvert, but a ‘Hi’ and some small talk is enough to show you that it is not the case.

Naathi Manaswini

Designer, MA, I Year

Manaswini is probably a child’s curiosity wrapped in an adult’s ‘what is even happening’ phase. A human golden retriever who loves pretty colours, new places and soulful music. She fluctuates between monk-like silence and unfiltered broadcasts with no warnings lol. Sometimes messy, mostly funny, and always learning because apparently, it’s Leviosa, not Leviosar!

Nishtha Srivastava

Designer, MA, I Year

Nishtha is an unapologetic lover of all things art, from design and painting to poetry and calligraphy. She finds inspiration in little things, quiet moments, and, more often than not, a Mary Oliver poem. Trees still manage to surprise her at least ten times a day. She has a soft spot for stories and anything that makes her pause and look twice. For her, art is less about making things perfect and more about making the world a little more interesting.

Vivechna Kain

Designer, MA, I Year

Vivechna is a creative soul with an unhealthy love for colours, art, and getting things “just right”. An introvert by default and a professional lame-joke enthusiast by choice, she finds joy in turning ideas into something visual. When she isn’t perfecting her next creation, she’s usually behind a camera, capturing little moments worth keeping.

Priya Alex

Designer, MA, I Year

Priya is an avid reader with a deep appreciation for art and music. She enjoys meeting new people and learning about different cultures and perspectives. Growing up, she spent time playing the guitar and piano, as well as singing operetta. More recently, she has taken up embroidery and discovered it to be a wonderful way to slow down, be creative, and enjoy her own company.
